How to Make a 'Per Point' trade
Click the ‘Per Point’ tab and choose whether you want to buy or sell the market. Next, adjust the red ‘Stop loss’ marker to fix your stop price, and choose your bet amount per point. The most that you could lose on a buy trade is the difference between the buy price and the stop price divided by the point value, multiplied by the bet amount per point. The most that you can lose on a sell trade is the difference between the sell price and the stop price divided by the point value, multiplied by the bet amount per point.

If you tick the ‘roll’ box, the trade will remain open, rather than automatically close at the end of the trading day. It will stay open indefinitely until the trade is closed or until you uncheck the roll box. (There is a small charge for this facility, and details are in the GnuTrade Rules and Trading Guide.) When you are ready to place the bet, hit confirm, then confirm again quickly.

ADJUSTING A PER POINT TRADE

Place the relevant market sphere above the joystick in the Active Trades window, then, click on the ‘thumbs up’ icon or type in the letter (T) to open the trader window. Make sure the ‘Per Point’ tab is selected. If you want to adjust your stop level, drag the red stop loss line up or down or use the arrow keys to change the level to what you want it to be.

If you want to increase the bet amount click ‘buy’ or ‘sell’ depending on the type of trade you have open, and raise the bet amount per point. If you want to decrease the bet amount (ie, part close the bet), click buy or sell as before, and lower your bet amount.

If you want to change the roll status of your trade, check or uncheck the roll box. When you are happy with your adjustments, click ‘confirm’ and your trade will be adjusted.

CLOSING A PER POINT TRADE

The quickest and best way to close a per point trade is to click the ‘X’ on the top right of the trader window and then click confirm. Your Accounts window will show the changes you have made. (Alternatively, to close an open buy trade, click ‘sell’ and adjust your bet amount to zero. To close an open sell trade, click ‘buy’ and adjust your bet amount to zero.)

If you want to see the results of the trade you have just closed, or your past trading history, go to the My Accounts section on the website.
