In some cases, underlying markets open and close outside these times but trading on the platform is currently only available between the times listed. Index trading, for example, is generally available 5 to 10 minutes after the underlying markets open. On Fridays, markets that normally close after 21:15 GMT close earlier at 21:00 GMT. We plan to extend our business hours in the future, but in the meantime, trading on Asian market indices (which tend to be open outside of our business hours) is limited.

Please remember that these times are to be used as a guide only, and may change without notice due to daylight saving time changes, extreme underlying market activity, technical disruption, or public holidays. If you want your trading position to continue the following day, make sure you check the 'rolling box'  for the particular instrument before the market trading closes.

Market opening and closing prices

It is normal for prices on some markets to fluctuate before trading opens and after trading closes. For example, with Index trading, many underlying markets take time to 'settle' on a closing price after trading closes. Our final closing prices for indices are based on the underlying market prices that exist when trading closes on the market.  A market may also close if its underlying market price has stopped updating or been static for more than 20 minutes.

Trading support team

Our support team is available during business hours to address any queries, although enquiries made late in the day, on public holidays and during short market sessions may be answered on the following business day.
