Investing in indevidual companies? - 2008/02/05 18:23 Hi everyone,

I am a total newbie at this whole stock market thing, however I am interested to learn and invest in a real company, I thought to try to virtually invest for the moment and see how it goes prior to making a real currency investment.

Can GNU Trade do this, for example I would like to invest £500 or buy a bond in Northern Rock etc, how can I find Northern Rock using the GNU Trade GUI?

Re:Investing in indevidual companies? - 2008/02/05 19:03 Hi gamestesterjan,

Currently Gnutrade does not offer individual company stocks, but rather the most popular indices (including FTSE), commodities, currencies and bonds.

However, there are plans to incoporate other markets in the future to enhance the trading experience for our users.

Re:Investing in indevidual companies? - 2008/02/05 19:27 Thank you for the prompt reply and answer. I still believe the GNU Trade system is very innovative and interesting, I look forward to seeing its progress as it becomes more advanced. I will play around using the artificial currency for the moment to see if I have any luck. Thanks for the service.
