Interest Rate
Interest rate is an amount of money given as a percentage, which borrowers pay for the privilege of using money they do not own (ie, borrowing money). Conversely it is an amount of money given as a percentage that a lender receives for lending money to a borrower.

An interest rate is often expressed as an annual or monthly percentage of the sum borrowed.
